The Carvery was very disappointing ,it was just warm , the roast potatoes had hard thick skins and the red cabbage , not cooked enough , The Turkey was nice , though the pork too thick and with gristle , However the staff were friendly and helpful

The room was wonderful, it needs coat hangers on the door. Breakfast was a bit sparce, Cheap bread, no fruit/ yoghurt. Both the service and location are top. Staff could benefit from training, wasn't offered a pudding after main course and the lady was generally a bit ditsy.

George is an absolute asset to this place. Customer service second to none. Funny, knows his stuff and great people person. Food could definitely be improved, worst cheese board selection I've ever had unfortunately! Main meal, white wine sauce was literally just crushed garlic, very bitter and not at all saucy!! Shame as the ambience, the facilities and the people are all fantastic.

We stayed here for one night, absolutely beautiful building. An outstanding service from George, he goes above and beyond his job to ensure everyone is attended to. He engages with everbody in the bar. He has a true talent for this job. If George was not given a promotion to manager it would be a crying shame. His natural talent for this type of work would flourish as manager and would enhance the true beauty of this building

The young man, George, was very personable, friendly, attentive, and tolerated our demanding behaviour so well. He was truly professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His positive attitude and willingness to help made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. George truly excels at what he does, and it's clear he takes pride in delivering excellent service. Thank you for a great lunch.

A lovely historic hotel with good food and excellent staff, particularly George and Eva who looked after us really well. We travelled as a group of 13 including three young children and were made very welcome. Thank you!

Stayed for one night with my son for one night as we were in Suffolk at a motocross meeting . Very helpful girl on check in and the same girl in the bar and restaurant. We stayed in one of the rooms out the back which more than suited our needs . Our only gripe which wasn’t the hotels fault was a neighbouring room was up all night watching or listening to what sounded like horse racing causing very disturbed sleep. Never did work out which room or who it was .

Room was lovely, clean and recently redecorated. The only problem was the heat, it was so hot even having the window open all night didn't help.

Lovely hotel, very old coaching inn with wonky floors and loads of oak panelling. Nice breakfast and helpful staff.

A group of 20 of us descended upon the Scole Inn to spend a three days touring the Norfolk and Suffolk countryside. The staff couldn't do enough for us and food portions were very generous. As you might expect from a hotel that's over 400 years old the fixtures and fittings are not up to 21st century standards but if you want that level of convenience you should go and stay in a travel lodge. For my money this was an excellent hotel run by two enterprising young brothers. As a group we wish them every success because they deserve it.

Walls were paper thin in the old stables. Could hear EVERYTHING! Mattresses are far too soft. Cold tap not working in the shower. Food in the restaurant was ok and the big breakfast is good value for money. The tall girl working the bar, restaurant and everything else is a real credit to the company. Lovely nature even when buzzing around everywhere.

This is a very old and historic Inn probably a coaching inn from the 17thc. It has good parking and a good restaurant and the staff are very intelligent .The good thing about it is that it is not a pub with bedrooms . It does have a bar but the bar whilst open to the pubic is very much ancillary to the hotel which is the main function of the building. The room we stayed in was very spacious and had a very good bathroom. Like all historic buildings there are some age related issues but i am sure that the owners are aware of these and will be making every effort to remedy them.
